![]() ![]() If you have a library or dependency issue for some reason, it should say so in the terminal.Īnother thought that came to mind while typing this. If so, try opening a terminal in the bin/圆4/ folder (typically in most file managers you can just right-click -> open terminal here) and typing. Is this the same file structure you get when you download the game from the website and extract it/install it? ![]() ![]() Looking at my install folder (/home/me/.steam/yaddayadda/Factorio) I have lib, doc-html, data and bin. That said, it should be installed more or less the same way and "just work" like it does when you push play in the steam client. I wish I could give some informed help, but my copy I bought off steam for windows a long time ago. If there's something like that, feel free to point that out too. Just thought it'd be neat to play around with a building game, given the taste that the demo offered.īeen a while since I played the demo though, so I might have overlooked something dumb like a place to enter a key in the demo to unlock the full version. Is there a way to quickly get it running as the demo does, but with the full game? I'm not too worried about multiplayer just yet, so that aspect doesn't matter much at the moment. Saw instructions but seemed more for setting up a server rather than just getting the game going. Tried the headless instead of demo, but it doesn't seem to run the game and start the UI. So now I went and got the purchase code to try out the full game. Was fun, but limited stuff in the basic scenario - eventually you "beat" (killing off the biters or whatever) it and there's not much to go beyond that. Expanded the folder, went to the bin, and ran the executable, and it all worked. I had the demo running just fine on Linux Mint. ![]()
